High School students have visited CNST center in Milan again in 2025

Repeating the success of last year’s edition, also this year students from high school ‘Liceo Tito Livo’ in Milan have visited the Center for Nano Science and Technology – IIT CNST Milano, as part of their science project. This visit took place on February 20th 2025.

Dr. Annamaria Petrozza, who is the CNST director and coordinator of PERSEPHONe project has introduced the research center and researchers present to the group of 26 students and 2 teachers.

This year demonstrations by the researchers variated from perovskite optoelectronic materials by PERSEPHONe ESR Yarong He, to edible electronics; to seeing how bacteria communicate and interact live on the microscope to ‘a selfie with the atoms’. The demonstrations have captivated the students' interest, sparking insightful discussions and a wave of thought-provoking questions. The students also enjoyed visiting Dr. Petrozza’s labs.

A nice coffee break over students and researchers’ chatter has followed to conclude the visit.
